The product idea is the result of a previous scientific collaboration between ISMN-CNR U.O.S. of Palermo (c / o Dip ChiBioFarAm-UniMe), of IRBIM-CNR of Messina and the Dept. of Mathematics and Computer Science, Physical Sciences and Earth Sciences (MIFT) of the University of Messina, and is based on a synergistic and independent development within the research of the individual operating units.

Among the members of the start-up company there are researchers working in the field of Chemistry, (micro)Biology, Earth Sciences specialized in the field of materials, fundamental and applied microbiology, environmental recovery and the study of marine resources in general.

  • Dr. Maria Rosaria Plutino, CNR researcher at the Ist. for the Study of Nanostructured Materials (ISMN-CNR, Palermo c / o Department ChiBioFarAm, UniME), deals with the design, synthesis and structural study of functional hybrid nanomaterials and nanocomposites, based on functional polymers and nanofillers, with optoelectronic applications, sustainable manufacturing, nanotechnology, sensing, catalysis, environmental remediation and biomedicine;
  • Dr. Giuseppe Sabatino, graduate technician at the Dept. of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Physical Sciences and Earth Sciences (MITF-UniMe), he is technical-scientific responsible of the laboratories of Geochemistry and Mineralogy (obtained ASN 2012 in the sector A4 / A1-GEO 09) ; deals mainly with the identification and mineralogical characterization of raw clays materials, as precursors of geopolymers for building applications and in the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage;
  • Dr. Simone Cappello, CNR researcher at the Institute for Biological Resources and Marine Biotechnology (IRBIM) of Messina, deals mainly with applied microbiology aimed at the recovery of polluted areas (bioremediation) and the development and design of “green technology” systems to be applied for environmental recovery;
  • Giulia Rando, is a student of Chemical Sciences at UniMe. The proponent has recently obtained the Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Sciences at the Univ. of the Messina Studies with an experimental thesis entitled “Evaluation of the applicability of natural aluminosilicates and / or modified as absorbents of hydrocarbon contaminants in the marine environment”.
